Lets Get Real

My son has all but destroyed our remote contol, it has been smashed apart and put back together so many times that only certain buttons still work. Of the two cordless phones, one has been dropped tooo many times, the other still works (for how long?). It is as if he has some type of remote control radar. If it is not put where he cant reach it, then he has got it in less than 30 seconds. You would think toy phones and toy remotes would help, they don't. He may be 12 months, but he know the differnece between a yellow and blue plastic toy flip phone and the one that Mommy and Daddy really talk on. The fact we are always taking it away from him.....well....that makes it all the more interesting. What I need is a toy phone that is an exact replica of our cordless. Right down to the dial tone and that lady that says "if you would like to make a call please hang up and try again" when you leave it off the hook too long. Without that, he's gonna know!
So all you toy companys out there, I hope your listening. If toy guns can look like the real thing. Why not remote controls and telephones. Enough of the yellow and blue soft plastic toy phones. Any kid knows, if it looks like a toy then it sucks.

Oh yeah...that is so true! They want the REAL thing...NO toys! My nephew is the same way...he's out to destroy, and he wants the REAL phone. None of this toy business.
We got a very realistic toy phone with our girls' Fisher Price toy kitchen. They now fight over the realistic toy phone.
It never ends.
Brace yourself. :)

Perhaps a cardboard box would help?

We buy Luvs diapers in bulk. They come with a good cardboard box for towing the little guys around the house. Josh loves it, but Lillys too scared.
