40 days and 40 nights (of painting)

Here are some pics of my babies room. I meant to post these before they were born, but couldn't get a digital camera until Christmas. I spent many hours painting a Noahs ark theme. total cost was about 20 bucks for paint and brushes .

Wow...what an awesome room! Good job! Did you do all the animals freehand, or use patterns? They are beautiful.

I hunted pictures off the internet from many different web sites. Then printed them out. Then copied most by free hand, since most were not to the scale I needed. Some were to scale so I cut them out traced them on the wall, then free hand the internal parts. The Ark itself was pretty much freehand. I am a very poor artist when it comes to drawing from my head. But I can copy anything perfectly, even it its not to scale. So as long as I have something to look at , I'm all set.

Wow! Everything looks fantastic. Your kids are going to appreciate your artwork as they grow up. We did an ocean theme ourselves, but just waves, no critters, as my artistic abilities are pathetic. So I'm very impressed with yours!
